Asia Photography Project

what we do.

Curation and production of fresh, considered exhibitions of underrecognized and emerging artists

Site-specific projects and events connecting curators, collectors, and the general public to the latest developments in Asian photography

Specialized translations of art-related materials in Chinese and English

The Asia Photography Project (APP) is a non-profit curatorial collective and platform for photography from Asia. Our mission is to connect the work of key Asian photographers and emerging artists with passionate consumers and researchers of visual culture abroad.

In recent decades, the international art world has witnessed an explosive energy within the world of art photography from Asia. This has been characterized by vigorous experimentation, the growth of support structures and expertise, an ever-expanding public interest, and a new crop of artists eager to engage with the international scene.

We specialize in exhibition curation and production, book publication, advisory, interactive event-based projects, and written translation services - key conduits for connecting Asia with the world.
